L'Hopital de Doropo (the Doropo Hospital) is the only hospital for a four hour drive in this rural, rebel-occupied northeastern corner of Cote d'Ivoire. It is in the Bouna souprefecture and does not currently fully function as there is no physician; patients are triaged and treated by an African nurse who functions much like the nurse practitioners do in the US.
