On July 27, 2003, members of the Magdalo group declared of coup d'état against President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo Administration. The Magdalo group is composed of about 300 soldier lead by LtSG. Antonio Trillanes IV of the Philippine Navy. The mutineer garrisons the Oakwood Premier Ayala Center in Makati to show the Filipino people the alleged corruption of the Arroyo administration. The Magdalo group demanded the resignation of some of the senior military officers along with the President Arroyo. The coup d'état end that day. (taken 07/27/03)
