Shundarban is one of the largest mangrove forest in the world. This forest has a viable population of ‘Royal Bengal tiger’ at present. Because of cyclones like ‘Sydr’(2007) and ‘Aila’(2009) lots animals and sweet water ponds were destroyed and Tigers are not getting enough food and water to survive, which is one of the main reasons moving them out from their territory. In the south-west part of Bangladesh Poverty forces people into the forest, into the tigers' natural habitat. And the animals are hungry, with hunting and newly introduced diseases steadily reducing the populations of wild boars, deer and monkeys in the Sundarbans.
