President of Humane Borders, Mark Townley, left, and volunteers Augustine and daughter Rosalia Casares pay their respects to the dead at the site of a triple homicide just outside of the Tohono O'odham Nation's reservation in Pima County, Arizona. The deceased were three immigrants passing through the reservation. Humane Borders, an organization based out of the First Christian Church in Tucson that promotes rights for immigrants, operates at least 83 water stations in souther Arizona's Sonora Desert. The stations are placed strategically throughout the desert to provide hydration to the growing number of immigrants crossing the Mexican border.
