No More Deaths volunteers, from left, Steve Johnston, 62, Chris Fleishchman, 47, and Ashley (last name withheld), 21, are approached by a Border Patrol helicopter after they tripped a sensor on a trail in Jalisco Canyon near Arivaca, Arizona. Johnston is showing the officers in the helicopter the No More Deaths logo on his backpack, however, two Border Patrol officers on foot were sent down the same trail soon after. Some volunteers for No More Deaths are critical of the Border Patrol's use of helicopters to drop in very close to a group of immigrants causing them to scatter. When a group scatters, some will inevitably get separated, putting them at a higher riske of getting lost in the desert.
