Anti-government demonstrators in Bahrain throw a prisoner pardoned by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa into the air at Pearl Square in the capital Manama. Late on February 22 Bahrain freed 23 people accused of trying to topple the island's Sunni Muslim monarchy. The opposition claimed that two of the freed prisoners were 12 years old.
