A North American alligator recuperates Monday after being pulled out of White River over the weekend by volunteers doing a river clean-up. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources was called and took the animal to Night Stalkers Pet Emporium because they have facilities to handle reptiles. Ed Roemer, owner of Night Stalkers, said the reptile was bathing in a sulfate solution to cleanse it of bacteria, while basking in the glow of full-spectrum lights that simulate sunlight.
