Joyce Jenkins sits in the ruins of her former home in Youngstown, Ohio. Over a decade ago, Joyce was forced to abandon her house, as she could no longer afford the upkeep. She is one of the thousands of people who have left the lower south side of Youngstown since the local steel mills started closing in the late 1970s.
