Haifa Street is mentioned in many Iraqi songs and adverts about well-off areas of Baghdad. Today Haifa Street is empty of everyone except armed militias and units of the National Guard. The sniper, who appeared a while ago, put a stop to all kinds of life in the street…even the palm trees are wilting.
