July 12, 2012, Yunnan Province, China - Mosuo villagers in traditional dress wait to perform a fire dance for tourists. An ever increasing number of domestic tourists are drawn to the previously impoverished area around Lugu Lake by the stunning landscape and an exotic ethnic culture. Each night, around 400 tourists are charged 30 CNY (around 50 cents) to attend these spectacles. Profits are evenly distributed throughout the surrounding villages. (Dave Tacon / Polaris)
