San Sokhat, 33, co-ordinator of home based care work at Battambang PLHA Network Office. Her first husband died from and AIDS related illness in 199 and she discovered she was HIV+ in 2000. Before taking ARV medication she was very ill and was unable to work for over a year. She was so ill her mother asked monks to pray that she would have a quick death, she almost died but began ARV treatment in 2002, her health began to improve dramatically within a month of starting treatment.
