Young Russian campers cooking in a makeshift kitchen, Campsite, Yarki Island Yarki Island is a small strip of beach in northern Lake Baikal. During the summer months Russian campers make use of the makeshift facilities. Despite its idyllic location it is still wonderfully quiet and uncrowded. It is also home to some Siberian chipmunks.
