Many women who fled the Massisi and Rutshuru areas are victims of sexual abuses or rapes by soldiers. Some of them arrive at Heal Africa's hopital for a fistule surgery and are now members of the "Cure my People" program. They do sew to as a treatment of the trauma and reinsertion in the society.
