Around 100 to 150 children belonging to families whose houses have been demolished by the BMC were on a dharna(protest) at Azad Maidan. The children staged a performance on a Hindi film song that speaks about the homeless, while 7 year old Ketki Mandal watched. She came along with her mother Savitri Mandal, both former residents of Mankhurd where their shanties were razed to the ground by the BMC(Bombay Municipal Corporation)
