Montreal's Lebanese community protested the Israeli bombing of Lebanon in the summer of 2006. Religious leaders, community leaders and political figures spoke out against the attack which destroyed Lebanon's infrastructure and left over 1200 Lebanese dead, including Montreal's al-Akhrass family.
