Vince Igoe, 40, and Mark Potee, 42, who both have down syndrome, share an apartment as part of an assisted living program through a government-funded enterprise called Living Assistance for the Developmentally Disabled. Igoe, left, is often the instigator of some humorous moments with the more reserved Potee, who uses a handheld microphone and earphones to hear his jovial friend as they sit on the living room couch after dinner.
