Friday, July 13, 2007 - Kimberley, British Columbia - Tony Diedrich, from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta rehearses hisÊaccordion in the showers of theÊKimberley Civic Centre. Diedrich, 76 years old, is down for the week at the 34th AnnualÊ Kimberley International Old Time Accordion Championships. TheÊcompetition draws some 145Êaccordion players from all over the world and compete together over six days. Diedrich has been played theÊaccordion form aged 10 - 24 in his native Germany, then sold it to raise funds toÊimmigrate to Canada. He has since picked it up again and has two championships to his name as a result. Ê
