Tourists enjoy a sunny day in Cala Madonna, one of the busiest beach locations in Lampedusa Island, southern Sicily, where every year several hundreds of immigrants try to reach its coasts, in search for a better future for them and for their families. Every year thousands of immigrants departing from the mediterranean coasts of Africa try to reach Sicily for better opportunities or a safer place to live, as a refuge from their own countries often scattered from civil wars or lack of basic freedoms.
