Almost one year after the megaquake/tsunami struck Aceh Province on December 26, 2004, a teacher continues to hold class in a destroyed structure in the port area of Krueng Raya, a town about 25 kilometers from the capital city of Banda Aceh. With villages located within less than a kilometer of the port area, Krueng Raya was one of the hardest-hit. The absence of a roof, non-existent walls and having to sit down on floors did not stop these childrenŐs interest in attending classes nor did it deter the teacherŐs dedication.
