The orangutan now faces a new enemy; the worlds demand for Bio fuels has created the rapid spread of palm oil plantations. A male orangutan cries out at Sepilok Rehabilitation center in Sabah, Malaysia. This fully grown male became paralyzed in a fall when the tree he was in was cut down by poachers clearing land for a plantation. Malaysia is currently the world's largest palm oil producer, contributing to over fifty per cent of total global production.
