Sollano home for girls sits only a block away from the paroquia in the center of San Miguel de Allende where wealthy foreign tourists flock daily. San Miguel de Allende, a historic town in central Mexico founded in 1542, has seen a recent influx of expatriate Americans and Canadians spuring new development and raising home prices. Many local residents still struggle to support their families.
