Less than one hour from the Arizona border with Mexico, a worker picks onions in 115 degree desert heat. Workers are payed $1 an hour by American corporations that come to Mexico for the cheap labor, then export all the goods to the United States for a profit. The low pay creates conditions similar to indentured servitude or slavery as workers only make enough money to survive and work another day, instead of being able to plan for the future.
