A mother whose son has disappeared in trouble torn valley of Kashmir taking  part in a silent sit-in demonstration in Srinagar, 10 November 2007, to protest against the disappearance of thousands of Indian Kashmiris since the start of an insurgency some 14 years ago, and organised by the Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP). Human Rights Watch (HRW) has estimated that about 8,000 people have gone missing in enforced disappearance in Indian Kashmir over the period while the government said 3,900 have disappeared.
