Riot police follow the mayhem caused by supporters of the opposition party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM ) protest along Argwings Khodek road in Hurlingham. Carrying posters of the opposition leader Raila Odinga and bottles of the soft drink Fanta Orange, they took part in two days of ‘scheduled’ demonstrations by ODM in protest against the alleged rigging of the elections held 27 December 2007 which saw President Mwai Kibaki from PNU, Party of National Unity, sworn in for a second term. Demonstrators also carried branches as symbols of peace but still vented their frustrations with acts of vandalism and disrupting traffic.
