Nicolas is monitored in quarantine for a few days at Inti Wara Yassi, an animal refuge in Villa Tunari, Bolivia, before being released to live with other monkeys in the program's park. The name of the park means sun, star and moon in the local Indian languages Quechua, Aymara and Guarani. It is here where wild animals rescued from circuses and unfit caretakers are brought for rehabilitation and sometimes to be re-released into the jungle.
