The landscape of Tunica County in the North Mississippi has changed dramatically in the past 10 years with the construction of a massive casino industry. Sammie Walton Jr., who changes up to 15 billboards a day along the iconic Highway 61, said that he can't remember what it looked like before the billboards came, when he used farm land with his father near Dubbs. Tunica County, once the poorest in the nation, now generates millions of dollars annualy in tax revenue through the flourishing gaming industry. The largest gaming resort between Las Vegas and Atlantic City, Grand Casino Resort, has 1,356 hotel rooms, a trap and skeet center and a 18-hole golf course among many other amenities.
