09 November 2008 - Simard Lake, Qc, Canada. Alphonse Rodgers, an Algonquin from the Long Point First Nation Band, rest in his hunting cabin after dinner. He says that life in the village is difficult because of all the traditional loss. He doesn't like to be witness of younger generation living without senses. He goes into the bush as often as he can, living from the land. He doesn't like to be witness of younger generation living without senses. He tried, without much success, to teach the traditional way of life to younger generation, hoping that it would connect them to traditional values. Himself find it easier while living in the bush, as he has difficulties finding his way in the village. Loss of traditions and values are among causes of sexual and family violence in Native community.
