A migrant from Nigeria checks himself in a mirror, Oujda, Morocco. Illegal migrants from subsaharan Africa but also as far as Afghanistan or Bungladesh end up in makeshift camps in the forests surrounding the Moroccan eastern town of Oujda, close to the porous Algerian border. Many wait many years for an opportunity to enter Europe either by boat or by smuggling themselves into one of the Spanish enclaves, Ceuta and Melilla. Many migrants report abuses by the Morocan police forces or organised gangs of many nationalities, young women are particularly at risk.
