Akbar Ahmed, a prominent Islamic scholar and professor at American University, is in Houston as part of a project he is doing on Muslims in America. Ahmed and four students traveled through the Muslim world and wrote a book, Journey from Islam: The Crisis of Globalization. He is now doing the same thing, but in the U.S., interviewing Muslim Americans.
