One of the few ways of making a living in the camp, apart from working in the brick factories nearby, is weaving the famous carpets. Women and children spend the whole day starting at sunrise in front of the loom. They will be paid about 15 US dollars per square meter. A medium size carpet will take them not less than 3 months to complete.
