Isabell Zipfel

Isabell Zipfel grew up in Rome and now lives in Berlin. Before embarking on her career as a photojournalist, she translated screenplays and earned a Master’s degree in German studies and Italian literature .
She is working as a photojournalist since mid 2007. She has been working primarily in India. Through photographs & life history interviews she has documented lives of Hijras, MSM (Men who have sex with men), people living with HIV/AIDS and male sex workers.
