Isabella De Maddalena

I was born in Santa Margherita Ligure (Ge) in 1978, and started to photograph in 2001. I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Brera, in 2001, where I studied painting. Following that, I worked in photographic studios in Milan for 5 years. In 2006 I had a stage at the Contrasto agency. I worked as an assistant for the photographer Stefano De Luigi in 2007, at the same time carrying on with my personal projects. In April 2007 I started a project about the maternity of foreign women in Italy. At the moment I’m interested in working on themes about women and immigration.
