I’m guessing you haven’t read the “Uploader Submissions” terms, but if you are planning on using this service you should probably read the agreement carefully. Here is a link:
http://issuu.com/about/terms

An excerpt…
“By distributing or disseminating Uploader Submissions through the Issuu Service, you hereby grant to Issuu a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, assignable, fully paid-up, royalty-free, license to host, transfer, display, perform, reproduce, distribute, and otherwise exploit your Uploader Submissions, in any media forms or formats, and through any media channels, now known or hereafter devised, including without limitation, RSS feeds, embeddable functionality, and syndication arrangements in order to distribute, promote or advertise your Uploader Submissions through the Issuu Service.”

Hmmmmm, I don’t think so.

Just use pagegangster….

thanks Bob!

I did read the terms of use. And think that if the little book is disseminated in the net that’s ok for me. And the pics are so small that not serious print is believable. without counting on the fake reflections they put to make the “book feel”!

I do like pagegangster, but to use it you should pay 199USD + 9.99USD a year… to have a little fun and show some edit around, it seams a bit expensive.

that said it does take a little time to make a PDF file….

Might this feature be useful for those looking to promote an actual book? It’s up to us to control the resolution, is it not? Perhaps a page with the details for ordering a printed version might be useful.

Giovanni, is your Issuu book and actual published physical book? If so, this is possibly a great method of promotion.

Hi Paul,

no it’s not an actual physical book. In the last days I’m just trying to find a way to make a personal website without expenses and that actually looks nice. I’m a little fed up on the trend of self-promotion is going. More and more cards, flash websites, leather cases, etc… All of these cost tones of money and do they really work? You probably should do it for advertisement work, but for editorial? How much editorial work should you manage to have to go break-even?
So I decided to spend some time on the search of solutions that will make me able to have a site with the minimum cost… hoping that it looks good, if not there is no point for it, and I’ll have to go back to traditional ways!

Thanks for the link Giovanni, interesting, I might have a go at that myself. Very much enjoyed looking through your photos too.
