I’m a freelance journalist based in the UK, focussing generally on subculture, lifestyle and conflict.

I’ve written for The Guardian, Wired, Vice, MTV, The Independent, Rolling Stone Middle East and more.

In my time as a journalist I’ve investigated the commandeering of Imed Trabelsi’s (a corrupt politician) mansion by a group of rebel skateboarders in the midst of the Jasmine Revolution, interviewed the world’s most successful art smuggler, rubbed shoulders with the Occupy Movement, had tea with a Sonderkommando uprising accomplice, attempted to buy C4 from the Darkweb and other adventures…

I’ve also made some short documentaries and am looking for the Holy Grail of a series commission.

Contacting a child soldier for interview

I’ve been recently researching the plight of child soldiers in different parts of the world and am at the point where I’d very much like to interview one for a feature.

I have had difficulty contacting any, as of course it’s no easy feat, especially those currently in conflict.

So I thought here might be a good place to ask to see if anyone could help with any contacts that might be able to put me in touch with a former, or current child soldier.
