Housing sought in Port of Spain, Trinidad

Traveling to Trinidad this year to continue my personal project documenting Carnaval around the world. I’ve photographed Carnaval in Brazil three times and last year in Dominican Republic. Because it is a personal project, I am traveling on my own budget and can’t really afford tourist hotels, plus I know it’d be more interesting talking with a local.

I am looking mostly for a safe place, perhaps a room in a family’s house or someone’s apartment, in Port of Spain preferably, just as a base of operations. I have limited budget but I can definitely pay something to help the family of course.

I arrive 11 February, staying for about 3 weeks. Thank you for any recommendations of any local contacts who may know of potential hosts.
