Jean Marc Caimi, born in Paris and based in Italy, works as a journalist and photographer and had a great working experience in the music and enterteinment field. In 2003 he got a master in photography in the “Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia” in Rome. His pictures have been exhibited in the “Festival Internazionale della Fotografia 2006” in Rome and his works are published in magazines such “Rockstar” (music and culture) and Mondadori’s “Panorama Economy”. Photos are shot both in black and white, using analog equipment, to keep a reportage and instinctive approach, and in colour using digital workflow. Among other works, a series of reportages of religious and pagan rites from the South of Italy that have been exhibited in Rome for the Festival “Cineporto” 2003 and 2004. In 2007 in the “Castello Aldobrandeschi” of Capalbio, Italy, he made the exhibition “Terra e Libertà” on the lands confiscated to mafia in Sicily. The photo essay, “Kids”, is published by the on-line site ZoneZero, and was selected by Siggraph 2007 International conference and exhibition of San Diego. With his reportages of children he was among the winners of the 2007 Only Human Exhibit of San Francisco. In France his works are a permanent exhibition at Photo4 gallery in Paris.
