I am random, colorful, the wind. (My home is everywhere). I am unstoppable, in constant motion, the wave. (Not riding or drowning in the wave of life; I AM the wave). I am creative, fearless, hippy-bohemian, idealistic, revolutionary, independent, bouncy, ecstatic, alive… I am.
“Happy Forest†Joyce: adventurer, photographer, activist, artist, teacher, friend, and everything else around about and in between. I teach photography with Muir Middle school students, graduate from UCLA’s art program in June, rock out on wheels with the monthly Santa Monica Critical Mass and Midnight Ridazz biking expeditions, drum and make music on random anything, climb trees, rocks, buildings, and everything else I can find hand and footholds on, and photograph and experience life with a passion, exploring and experimenting… everyanything.
I’ve worked with the UCLA Daily Bruin, Delaware News Journal, and various other photographers, programs, and companies. I am a future professional adventurer and photographer; I will spend this coming year (after graduation) working in Utah as a wilderness therapy instructor (taking at-risk youth out hardcore-backpacking for self-sustainability and nature-healing), peak bagging and biking around the southwestern states during my off-time. My (current) life goal is to travel around the world, climbing mountains, meeting awesome people, expanding my mind, and bringing goodness everywhere I go.
And? I am in love. (with l i f e).
my vision statement:
Fearlessly live each day as an adventurous experience, one day at a time, each day to the fullest, accomplishing one small step towards achieving my goals and positively changing the world. Exude happiness, energy, and optimism, exploring unexplored regions both physically and mentally, expanding others’ perceptions of the world through my photographic vision, while inspiring others to go out and experience nature’s beauty and conserve our earth’s resources through sustainable living.
