“The measure of a man is not simply the quality of his work, but the quality with which he does his work" – Nathaniel Clark
My mission is to produce images that celebrate what is right with the world—whether that means traveling around the globe or exploring my own back yard, diving the ocean depths or climbing mountain peaks. I have photographed in more than 15 countries around the world, and have spent two years making images in India. My photographs range from sensitive people studies to technical underwater images. I currently work with Aurora Photos for stock and assignment representation and have earned distinctions in both Photo District News (PDN) and Communication Arts photo annuals.
Some of my favorite moments in life are the instances when I realize I am in the presence of a great image and am lucky enough to be the person there to photograph it. I believe I must put myself in the place of maximum potential, and be patient—whether that is by building relationships with my subjects, or by spending hours researching a shot. I believe that sheer tenacity and the willingness to continue trying, long after others would give up and go home, is often rewarded with the greatest images.
