Making an ass - embarrassment

I’m sure I’m not the first one to have done it but man do I feel like an ass. I had a whole email conversation with an editor at a newspaper and more than once I used the wrong newspapers name. Why the editor even kept responding is beyond me. Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll get the assignment.

Anybody else out there make an ass out of themselves?…
