Julie Hau is a graduate of the Documentary Photography and Photojournalism Program at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City and based herself as a freeelancer in Brooklyn, New York.
She grew up in Germany where she completed her apprenticeship in Photography and worked as an independent photographer and photographic assistant.
Julie’s work was one of the US winners of the Magenta Flash Forward Award 2011, received honorable mention at the Award in 2009
and has been published in the Denver Post, Shots Magazine June 2009, NYU News&Views, Columbia Journalist and Columbia News Service, HEALTHCARE DESIGN, TV Show In Your Wallet, F-stop magazine, the Westdeutsche Zeitung and Niederrhein Edition.
She has been part of the ICP students’ exhibition 2008, the PIP Festival Group Exhibition at the China Pingyao International Photography Festival 2008, Timezones, a New York Photo Festival 2009 affiliated exhibition, the Gelato Art Salon, Windows Brooklyn 2009 and What We Saw Dialects exhibition.
