Hey, was wondering … many photographers work often with different agencies. Many agencies have partner agencies in other countries to sell images. This way you get copyright restrictions for different countries. My pictures in the US are sold by agency X and in Germany by agency Y.
An Ipad has no frontiers, so somebody in Germany can easely download an Ipad magazine made in the US.
My reaction is, an Ipad magazine made in country X should deal/buy the pictures from the agency who has the licence in that particular country X, no matter where you download the content. Because I can buy US Newsweek also in a German bookstore and a German agency will not be able to claim the copyright for the published images either.
But is that so ? Is it with the Ipad that simple ? Please your comments and ideas …
