Laëtitia Donval

Laëtitia Donval was born in 1981 in Lannion. She lives and works in a rural commune of Côtes d’Armor in Brittany, France. Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de la Photographie in Arles with honors in 2007, she is a founding member of the collective of European photographers, Smoke. Besides her solo work, she conducts photography workshops in schools.

Her work shows the fragility of a world that is supposed to be organized to limit the effects of suffering and loneliness. It questions our membership in the human community, with an abrupt and fragmentary way, exposing her relationship with reality, between attraction and distance.
