About Alec Soth
Alec is an American photographer born and based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has received fellowships from the McKnight and Jerome Foundations and his photographs are included in the collections of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the Walker Art Center. Soth has published two books the first, Sleeping by the Mississippi, in 2004 and his second, Niagra, in 2006. He has also photographed for New York Times Magazine, Fortune, and Newsweek. Soth is a member of the Magnum Photos agency and in 2003 was the recipient of the Santa Fe Prize for Photography.
