Last Chance to Apply for National Geographic Magazine $50,000 Photography Grant
The deadline for submissions for National Geographic Magazine’s second annual $50,000 photography grant has just been extended to February 15, 2008. It is open to any professional photographer whose primary source of income is through his or her photography. Applicants must submit a written outline of a proposed or current project and examples of their work. For more information about how to enter, visit ngm.com/photogrant.
Building on the magazine’s long tradition of fostering photographic talent, in addition to financial support the grantee will be assigned a photography editor to provide guidance and will have full access to all of the facilities provided to the magazine’s regular contributing photographers. Last year’s grantee was Eugene Richards, whose project proposal focused on people profoundly impacted by the conflict in Iraq.
