See if you can find some silica gel packets. Keep them within the camera bag and when the camera is not in use put it in a plastic bag with a couple packets, should help with the humidity and drying the camera.

Hi, If you don’t get any silica gel, just put a little salt in a paper bag,(maybe toilette paper), artisan solution,it works ok, good luck. Patricio

personally i wouldn’t use salt as a desiccant. salt and humidity are a fatal combination for electronics. if silica gel packets are unavailable, you could put a few cups of rice in a couple cotton socks and pack them with the camera in a plastic bag or something air tight. i found desiccant packs to be very inexpensive on ebay and while in honduras will routinely store them with my M8s overnight in a pelican case.

humidity is worse than rain because the moisture droplets can infiltrate a camera’s innards much more easily and can take days to dry. BTW, lens fogging when going from cold air to warm air - like a january indoor swim meet - can be quickly eliminated by using a warm blow drier or an hand dryer in a bathroom.

Kitty litter box material is also a great, cheap desiccant. Get a plastic bag squeeze all the excess air out and let it sit 24hrs…. this will suck all moisture out..

I agree with Skippy don’t use salt..
