I find things. In places that people overlook, where conventional wisdom believes there should be nothing of note, nothing to photograph, nothing to see. I find something and I bring it back to you. My work is in color and black and white because the world is in color and its moods in shades of gray. I work in these media because, (and though they use similar processes they are different media), like language, some things are better said in English or French or Swahili. Language can invoke a mood and so can a photograph. My photographs have messages. In tranquillity and mystery and conflict the images tell stories in languages I feel, and I hope that you will agree, are appropriate.
