Leonello Bertolucci was born in Liguria and arrived in Milan in the 1980’s, to work with photojournalism agencies, including several Italian newspapers and, later starting international collaborations including one with the Sygma agency in Paris. His photos appear in magazines such as Time, Newsweek, Stern, Paris Match, Epoca, etc. He then founded and directed for several years a photojournalistic agency, continuing to photograph contribute to a range of activities in the field of photographic culture. He has published his photography in books and participated in exhibitions. He also organizes events and teaches courses in photography schools. He works in publishing and media consultancy, and serves as a photo editor at the editorial offices of newspapers. His activities have focused on photography magazines such as Fotopratica, The Photographer, New Photography, Photo, Photographie, Photo Techno, Fotocomputer. At Italian Institute of Photography his is a professor of photo editing, as well as Visual Communication. When he can, he takes the camera and goes to the Cinque Terre, facing the sea.
