Looking for apt in NYC

I’m looking for a place to stay in New York City, possibly Manhattan, from the 10th to the 31st of August.
I’ll be by myself for the first week and 2 friends will join me on the 18th.
Any suggestion is welcome.

If nothing turns up here, do check craigslist. You can search by neighborhood and price. Very helpful.
