I was just there! Of course, I was running around so much that I wouldn’t have had any time, but the next time I’m in London it would be great to catch up with all of you. Plus, I still owe David Sutherland at least a few pints!

I think we should better choose a specific bar before we meet, so if some people come later (I cant come already at 7 for example, but probably around nine), they know where to find the others…

I don’t drink so I am totally pub ignorant but am sure someone here must be able to recommend a place…who will step up??

If no one steps up to make a plan, this evening is not going to happen. I suggest that if I know how many people plan to come, we can plan accordingly, I personally cannot meet until after 9PM. So please everyone weigh in on whether they will come and then we can decide where to meet. Camille

hi all, i do actually live here but cant make it on saturday. as for recommendations where you might meet, the words ‘good’ and ‘cheap’ never go together in london adn even the crap pubs are expensive. the other problem is that 9 on a sat evening most places are heaving with little chance of getting a table let alone having a conversation. having said all that, you could try the Cittie of Yorke in High Holborn. its a beautiful pub, central, and often fairly quiet at the weekend.
