looking for a newspaper/magazines interested in multimedia
Hello everybody, I will be happy for some contacts to magazines and newspapers interested in multimedia… I made a podcast with my friend and we are looking for some place to sell it… it’s a short (3 minutes) story about miners’ strike in Poland… Do you have some idea where can I offer that multimedia piece?

There was a thread here,at LS, sometime last year by a woman who was starting up a multimedia ‘stock’ agency and was looking for content and suppliers.
It might be a good starting point to track down that thread and contact her.

A lot of papers use multimedia now. The problem is that they don’t pay very well, around $200.00. you may even want to try the New York Times.

The agency you are refering to is called Sulley Digital based in NY www.sulleydigital.com. I submitted a finished piece to them and all seemed OK. Their website was in a state of construction but has not really changed much in 6 months. I did a little bit of research because parts of the site came back with an error message and a re-direction. I discovered that Sulley Digital is owned by the same person as Newscast a NY based agency who also have a London office. http://www.newscast.co.uk/contact.jsp
So I called the NY office and asked what they were about and spoke to the MD who told me that they are actively looking for multimedia presentations to tout to clients. A potentially good venture if it takes off. The problem they have is a lack of submissions. So Aga there is this outlet if you need your multimedia put out to prospective clients.
Closer to home the Guardian does a lot of multimedia. I know the multimedia guy on the Guardian picture desk so if you want to contact him PM me and I will provide the details. Multimedia is the future alongside traditional print I hope.

Nice work Mark and, yes, sulleydigital was the one i was tyrng to recall. Thanks for providing a little background on them. I was, initially, interested in considering them but felt info was lacking and seemed to be shrouded in secrecy. Even now,it seems impossible to access their site to try to get a read on what they are doing and if it would be a good fit. You can’t see anything without logging in which you can’t do without registering which you, well, can’t do! Their ‘about us’ page also returns an error code.
